What is the difference between corneobiology and corneotherapy?

Recently a comprehensive review article from Albert M. Kligman has been published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science 33, 197-209 (2011). "Corneobiology and Corneotherapy - a final chapter" was drawn posthumously from a variety of his notes.

  • Corneobiology refers to biologic and biochemical processes in connection with the damage and recovering of the stratum corneum.
  • Corneotherapy refers to recovering and care of the stratum corneum by applying a physiologically appropriate skin care. Prevention plays a major role in this respect.

For further details please look at "corneotherapy".
