Cosmetic dermatology and dermatological cosmetics

Summary: As recently as several years ago, retailers received warning letters when they ran sales promotions on dermatological cosmetics. In the meantime however it has turned out that sustainable cosmetic preparations are unthinkable without involving dermatological and physiological knowledge. By the same token, dermatology also uses cosmetic compositions in the treatment of patients – without the adverse effects of conventional pharmaceutical drugs. Medical products with cosmetic compositions take a special position: they can be used for the treatment and soothing of skin diseases.
