The dietary supplement business is booming. In addition to the classics, i.e., vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, there are many substances that are believed to have an effect on the skin in addition to maintaining health.
Which dietary supplements and micronutrients improve skin condition and/or are helpful for medical topical indications? Which ones compensate for physical deficiencies and/or are suitable for anti-aging skin care? Which promises are realistic?
